I didn’t need another bottle of cleansing oil but I clicked on the link anyway. I was on the official Tonymoly website to check out the latest product releases and I discovered the TONYMOLY Wonder Olive Tox Cleansing Oil. The ingredient list reminded me of the INCI of my favourite cleansing oil, the Japanese DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. It has turned out to be a budget friendly dupe!
The TONYMOLY Wonder Olive Tox Cleansing Oil contains extra virgin olive oil from Spain. It gently removes makeup, sunscreen, sebum, impurities and leaves the skin moisturized and soft. 190 ml.
The INCI is very short: 73.3% olive oil, some moistuizers, an emulsifier and rosemary leaf oil. The ingredient list is almost identical to the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. Alcohol, paraben and fragrance free but contains rosemary essential oil.
The oil is not as thick and not that yellow either but it’s still similar to the popular DHL Deep Cleansing Oil. I wear sunscreen and makeup which means that I need quite a lot of oil to remove everything: I pump about 2.5 times each time, this amount helps me massage my skin and remove the makeup easily in a few seconds. I apply the oil on dry skin with dry hands, I massage the oil all over my face and remove it with lukewarm water. My skin becomes moisturized and soft. Is it exactly the same as the DHC cleansing oil? No, but I enjoy using this one too, it’s very similar and inexpensive at least right now, because it’s on sale on Jolse. At least I’ve learned one thing: I think I prefer cleansing oils with natural oils despite the fact that I have combination/oily skin. Olive oil is particularly great to have in skincare products in my opinion. Do you like the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil but you’d like to have a cheaper dupe? Then you should try out the Tonlymoly Wonder Olive Tox Cleansing Oil!
