The MISSHA Time Revolution Night Repair Probio Ampoule (2019) is the 3rd generation of the very popular Borabit ampoule, the famous Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair dupe! This time, everything is a bit different: the packaging, the name and the ingredients too! It contains 10 probiotics to provide moisture, strengthen the skin barrier and to make the skin look like we slept very well (after all, our skin looks the best in the morning).
Main ingredients?
The main ingredient is – of course – bifida ferment lysate which has antioxidant properties, hydrates and soothes irritated skin, giving it a healthy glow. It can protect the skin against damage caused by UV rays and free radicals. Besides the 10 types of probiotics, the ampoule contains purple energy complex (Purple Carrot, Purple Cabbage, Eggplant, Blue Berry, Beet Root) to soothe the skin. The new formula does not include phenoxyethanol, it is alcohol, artificial fragrance and paraben free but does contain essential oils.
Review:
The texture is better now: it is very light, absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel oily or sticky at all. It is more watery in my opinion than the previous ampoules, you might end up using a bit more product than usual but that’s OK for me. The ingredient list is much shorter this time which might sound good for some people but I do miss that very long INCI with all those exciting ingredients. There is no retinol in the formula anymore, so it is suitable for pregrant women now and it is not a night serum anymore I suppose.
I still see very good results: my skin looks healthier, it feels softer, it tries to make the skin look “well slept, well rested”. I know it sounds silly but my skin looks the best when I wake up (everyone needs their beauty sleep! 🙂 ) and this ampoule helps me achieve a similar effect. I like using it in the morning and night too, it is lightweight, I can layer more product below and on top of it, my combination skin really enjoys this new texture.
Recommended for:
If you are looking for something to make your skin softer, smooth and more elastic. The ingredient list is shorter, it is more suitable for most skin types now.
