I can’t believe I haven’t written about my favourite sunscreen! The Giibon Care Daily Sun Block SPF50+ PA+++ was love at first sight but I can’t say the same about the Giibon Care Foam Cleansing… Giibon is a budget friendly brand with some great products, and on JOLSE they are often on sale!
Main ingredients?
The sun block contains organic and non organic sunscreen ingredients, it is alcohol, paraben and fragrance free. It is a very simple sunscreen with vitamin B3, sometimes less is more! The cleansing foam is alcohol, perfume and paraben free but does contain lavender oil, but that’s not even the worst part: the pH level must be pretty high because it turned out to be a really drying face wash.
Review:
The sunscreen is SO GOOD! It’s creamy, moisturizing, lightweight, not oily or sticky but it gives the skin a healty glow! It looks very natural and doesn’t leave a white cast (at least on my very fair skin)! It’s very gentle to the skin, I have just finished my first tube, it never irritated my skin. I love how lightweight it is even on my combination/oily skin, and luckily it absorbs fast. I’d say it is my facial cream and sunscreen in one, my morning routine couldn’t be easier and faster! I have used many sunscreens but I don’t think I’ve ever seen something more perfect and cheaper than this (I was lucky enough to purchese this set on sale but the original price is low too!). It is perfect unless you are looking for something mattifying.
The face wash is not the best… Yes, it does lather and cleanses well but it is very drying. The high pH level dries out the skin and destroys the skin barrier so I wouldn’t recommend it for everyday use. I understand that cleansing foams like this are very popular in Korea and Japan but there are better ones available, it is really not necessary to dry out the skin this much. My boyfriend liked it because he has oily skin but I won’t repurchase this one.
Recommended for:
The sunscreen is great for all skin types, except for oily skin, you can’t go wrong with it! If you are searching for a lightweight, moisturizing sunscreen without mattifying effect, give it a chance! It works well under makeup too! I can’t recommend the face wash for anyone.
