I was very happy when I heard that I got to review the new Benton Papaya-D Sun Cream SPF38 PA+++ but I was even happier when I realized how good this sunscreen was! I’ve been using Benton products for years so I’m always interested in their latest releases too. Let’s look at this sunscreen a bit closer!
I’ve tried almost every single Benton product during the last few years, it’s one of my favourite Kbeauty brands so you can imagine how curious I was when I saw the new Benton Papaya-D Sun Cream SPF38 PA+++! It comes in a simple but very pretty and convenient tube (50 g), contains papaya based ingredients (papaya = antioxidants, minerals, vitamins etc.) and it’s meant to be used in any season. Actually it’s the ideal sunscreen for most people in my opinion, but let me tell you why!
The sunscreen has a creamy texture and a light, citrus scent to it, it spreads easily and absorbs quickly! Titanium Dioxide is the second main ingredient so I expected a heavy cream that leaves a noticeable white cast but I was so wrong! It takes about a few seconds to make the cream absorb into the skin and after that I barely see any white cast on me (I have fair skin though). It’s moisturizing but not heavy or too oily so it is great for all skin types even for sensitive skin because it’s alcohol-, perfume- and paraben free! It does contain some essential oils though but besides that the ingredient list looks so good: there are mineral and chemical sunscreens present, some moisturizers, vitamin B3, B5, E, antioxidants and papain which helps removing dead skin cells etc.! I’d describe the Benton Papaya-D sun scream as a gentle sunscreen that protects and nourishes and moisturizes the skin all day.
I have combination/acne prone skin and I love using this sunscreen for many reasons. First of all, it is very gentle and non-irritating and SPF38 PA+++ is perfect for daily use, it gives good protection against UVA and UVB rays too. The cream is lightweight, easy to apply, absorbs fast and provides enough moisture and nourishment: you can skip the moisturizer if you have oily skin! It’s a good base for makeup as well, I have tried all my foundations on top of it, they all looked nice! What else can I say? If you haven’t found your favourite sunscreen yet then you should give Benton’s new product a chance because unless you need a mattiflying effect, you’ll enjoy using it! 🙂
