REVIEW CLIO Kill Cover Highest Wear Foundation

The CLIO Kill Cover Highest Wear Foundation SPF35 PA++ (in shade Linen) is probably one of the best foundations I have ever tried and trust me I’ve been through a whole bunch of bottles thanks to my acne prone skin. I’ve seen many vloggers and bloggers using and loving this particular foundation and now I understand the hype about it. I loved my Dr.Jart bb cream but it got reformulated but I couldn’t find the new the ingredient list which is a deal breaker for me and it wasn’t that yellow toned anyway so I started hunting for something new and hopefully something better. It took a while but my adventure has come to an end: I don’t think I can find anything better than this for this price. Let me start by saying that I love the packaging: yes, it is very simple there’s nothing cute about it but it feels nice to hold this nice bottle made of glass in my hand. The selection of shades is impressive, you can choose from 6 shades and these are divided by skin tones which is amazing! When I saw a yellow based colour for fair skin (03 Linen) I didn’t hesitate anymore, I knew it had to be mine! 🙂 You know the struggle if you walk in the same shoes, but I still don’t understand why the majority of Western brands pretend yellow tones fair skin doesn’t exisit… Well I’m not bothered anymore because Clio’s Linen shade suits me and luckily the foundation itself is great too. It’s matte/semi-matte depending on the facial cream and sunscreen I use under my makeup, it gives good, medium coverage and lasts all day (with or without powder too). The creamy texture is easy to blend, the foundation is pigmented so a little goes a long way and I haven’t experienced irritation at all, actually it feels very gentle on the skin. The INCI looks fine: I can see two very gentle sunscreen ingredients, some antioxidants and emollients, it’s perfume free but does contain a bit of alcohol but it’s not a problem for me. It’s not a moisturizing foundation but it’s not drying either so I think I can recommend it to almost anyone: from oily, combination, acne prone to normal or dry skin too (as long as you don’t have flaky skin). All I need is a thin layer of the Clio Kill Cover foundation (it’s buildable though!), a bit of concealer then I set my T-zone with a translucent powder and my base is nice and natural looking for the rest of the day. Let’s hope there will be more shades added one day but otherwise it’s such a great line! That was my ode to the Clio Kill Cover Foundation 😀 ♥
